Will a "W" ruin my chances of transferring?

Hello all,
Right now I'm in my second semester and I'm having a really tough time with this one specific course. It's reading extensive and that's not the problem, but the way the professor grades is absolutely ridiculous. I recently got a terrible grade on my midterm test, and I would love to withdrawal from this worthless course. My question is though will it effect my chances of getting into the University of Oregon? I got accepted to St. Johns University, and just sent my transcripts to U of O yesterday and my app last week along with my HS transcript. Should I wait until they respond with an acceptance letter, or would withdrawing from the course potentially ruin my chances of getting into the school? It's the only class this year I have had troubles with, surprisingly. Thank you.

Btw last semester I took 16 credits, and this semester 16 too. But one class is 1 credit and if I were to drop this one, I’d only have 13 (since it’s a 3 credit course)

You would need to contact U of O to find out how they would use that information.
