Will a withdrawal effect my transfer application?

Im currently attending an overseas program for my first year of college and am planning on applying as a transfer for next year.

After receiving a low mark on an essau I spoke to one of my teachers who told me he usually does not give out high marks, and my mark was considered good. Because I only had 5 courses counting toward my GPA for admission I decided to Withdraw from the course.

Will this effect my admission as a transfer?

Which class? Which current university? Which target university? Which major at that university?

Usually one W is no big deal. Usually 4 courses is considered a full-time load. However, there are too many variables to readily predict. You did what you believed was best at the time. Don’t worry about this any more. Keep up your other grades, and apply to the target institutions that you are interested in.

Thank you.

Im currently at Tel Aviv University, Israel and a applying to Binghamton University in NY.
The course i withdrew from is Greek Philosophy, Im planning on majoing in Finance or engineering.

any other thoughts based on the previous post?
