Will ACT really help me?

I have 31(32 superscored), #1 class rank(4.0 UW, 5.02 W GPA), but Duke is really competitive. I can take the October ACT with standby, but Duke takes test scores until March 1st, which gives me time, but would getting a 33 really help me considering their middle 50% ends at like 34? I know my essays and ECs are what really count, but would a 33 vs a 31 be a make or break for me?

OH, and if I'm taking ACT with Writing, do I still have to submit 2 Subject Tests? On common app it said SAT+Subject Tests or ACT (essentially A+B or C), but on collegeboard it says (A+B or C+B).

To start, I'm not sure about whether or not you have to take sat 2s. I think if you can get a 33, it would be very beneficial. Although I think its stupid to compare tests, people generally say if you can improve by 50 points on the SAT, its worth taking. Going from a 31 to 33 would be like going from a 1380 to a 1470, a large increase. That said, I don't think it would make or break you but it would definitely be beneficial. Can you chance me, please? It's down a few topics from this one, titled "Chances for Duke ED."
