I submitted my common app for early decision a few days ago, but I’m reading sample essays right now and just now read a sample on Johns Hopkins’ website that is similar to the one I submitted. I applied to an extremely selective school but not JHU. Do you think the admissions officers will still notice the similarities and flag my application or am I being too paranoid? I realize that it’s too late now to edit the application I’ve already sent but if you guys think this is a problem, I need to start on a new essay soon.
Well did you copy and paste it? Did you look at that website while writing your essay? If not, I would say honestly, you are fine.
