Currently I'm 17 and a freshman (won't be 18 until June). I'm slightly nervous about what medical schools will think of my age. I skipped a grade early in elementary. When I graduate college, I will be 20 years old (not even old enough to drink). :/ I'm planning on starting medical school (if I get in, of course) that July (or whenever med school begins..).

I'm also not worried the slightest about not graduating in four years. I have enough college credits to be considered a sophomore (although I'm planning on staying here for four years). So, when senior year comes around, how exactly will medical schools view a 19/20 year old applying to college? It's been something haunting me recently.

OP, I was a 16 year old freshman. I am now 17 and after this semester is over I will have senior standing. I’ve been told by several MS administrators that it’s NBD. Just make sure your app is rock solid. Don’t allow anyone to use your age as an excuse. There are perks to being a “supersenior”, so enjoy your full four years. :)

^Good advice, do not rush, add major(s)/minor(s) if you are bored. Time is pushed at Med. School, here is your chance to try something new, go abroad, do sports, creek, meet people with wide range of interests and various backgrounds, aprticipate in crazy number of ECs or just relax with friends. Make sure to have fun in UG, make sure you are on the same par socially with your future Med. School classmates.
