So, in a nutshell : I've finished high school and went abroad for 3 years (Japan and India). I worked there as a journalist and a writer.

My question is, how will colleges look at that ? I had a very good grades at high school, my SAT score is 2150 and I plan to improve it. What should I do ? Should I try to prove that I didn't forget high school stuff (maybe taking 3-4 SAT II's ? ) or focus on my work experience and a letter of recommendation from my employer ?

Anyone has experience with applying at the age of 22-24 ?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Your experiences will be a plus at the top colleges that care about things like having a diverse, active student body. Most colleges don’t care about such things, so will care only about your grades and scores, which are excellent and would get you accepted to most colleges in the country. You don’t need to bother retaking the SAT for most colleges in the country. It’s a fine score and may even get you into top colleges due to your interesting post h.s. experiences.

If you decide to apply to very top colleges, you’ll need to have 2-3 SATII scores. If you haven’t yet taken them, study hard before you take them.

Thanks for the answer !
