Hi guys! So I'm a senior in high school and I'm applying to college right now! I already to applied to Columbia University, New York University, Cornell, George Washington, and University of Rochester. I know I'm not getting into any of them, and I need your help to tell me what colleges I can actually get in. Here are my stats:
GPA: 3.8 unweighted
ACT: 25 Writing: 10
Classes: AP world, AP US, AP language, AP literature, AP psychology, AP chemistry, AP physics, AP calculus and AP economics
EC: Debate team, National Honor Society, ballet, volleyball, and helped run freshman orientation
I wrote a killer essay all about being Ukrainian and I did it in a unique way so the colleges can see my writing style because I want to major in English.
I also talked about my test anxiety. I said that my ACT doesn't show my full potential as a student and I am working on becoming a better test taker, but it takes time.
Please let me know what colleges I should apply to! I love colleges in cities :)

What kind of majors are you interested in? How about the size of the school? Are you interested in public or private and what about financial aid?

How about a test optional school? [SAT/ACT Optional 4-Year Universities | FairTest](ACT/SAT Optional List - Fairtest)

I like an urban setting but a smaller school. The reason why I love Columbia is because you’re in NYC, but you still have a campus to come home to. I want to major in English and ultimately go to law school.

Have you heard of Fordham?

Duquesne University in Pittsburgh would be an option. No idea on if Pittsburgh is a big enough city for you, but the campus is pretty much right in the middle of the downtown area, there are about 6000 undergraduate students, and you would be a match for the school. If you live in New York, I would recommend possibly applying to some of the SUNY schools or CUNY - Hunter.
