The deadline is in January. I want to take the December SAT. If i do apply in late December will my chances of getting in decrease by a lot?

It shouldn’t, seeing as the application deadline is Jan 15. It takes 3 weeks to get the score, so when you take the SAT, you should probably indicate on the test that you want the score sent to Stony Brook. If I remember right, as long as the app is in by the deadline, all other supporting documents can come after.

Hmm thank you. So i can send my application in november or so but send the SAT scores later on right. it wont affect my chances right.

It’s rolling admission, the earlier u apply the more likely u are to get in.

Lovie’s last statement is not true; when you apply has no bearing on your admissions decision, nor when you’ll hear.

The December SAT is fine; just make sure to get the scores to us quickly, and make sure you tell us that you’re taking it so we know to hold review until we get them.

Chris

Thank you Chris, I am relieved to hear that.
