will applying late hurt ME? (Stats)

does it hurt you if you applied late? not after the deadline, but towards the end?

i am a strong applicant, i'm applying to several ivy leagues, but i really like michigan--and i was counting on it to hopefully be a safety/moderate reach, but now i'm worried because i applied late.

the deadline was feb 1st, and i applied jan 29th. i know that's late for a rolling admissions school. but i hadn't made up my mind earlier in the year....

here are a few basic stats:

1450/1600 sat
top ten percent of class gpa
3.95-4.00 unweighted gpa
total of 11 AP classes at a very hard college prep school/all other courses honors
720/780 two SAT Subject tests
3 leadership positions
founder of a school arts chapter
several community service commitments for almost four years
Strong Art Portfolio
traveled to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in the summer for painting

Your stats are very good, so I think you still have a chance, though you would have almost certainly gotten in had you applied early.

With your stats, Michigan would have been a match had you applied early. But since you applied in late Jan, I would say Michigan is a slight reach for you.

okay, well i couldn’t apply early because i’m applying partly to the art school, and they don’t accept early applicants.

i still wish i had applied earlier than i did. gah, now i’m scared.

So, I’m guessing if you might have problems getting in, UM is really hard to get into late?

Well I’m not sure, that’s why I was kind of asking.
