<p>I think that doing NIH internship is REALLY BENEFICIAL, because some of my friends who did that all went to great colleges, and you are valedictorian, so you don’t have to worry about GPA. Your SAT score is nice, as long as you are over 2250, I think you would be okay. The only thing I feel you are missing is a big leadership role, such as being President of Student Council/government in your school. But you already have other great ECs that I don’t think it’s gonna bring you down much. Also, getting awards from tennis is a great asset too, because usually Asians are not really into sports.<br>
I think a great essay would really put you into a one of Harvard, Stanford, or Yale.</p>
<p>Smileelv: i agree. i really think my main negative is that I don’t have aleadership position it. but to be reallly honest it’s not me. i don’t think it really suits me so i never really ran for anything. and i didn’t want to run for the sake of college apps either…so yeah. i just hope my other stuff makes up for it.</p>
<p>Oh wait, I didn’t see that you would be captain for your tennis team. That is a great leadership you can get, especially if you are Asian. Seriously, you are pretty much in for any colleges you apply to as long as you don’t write a crappy essay. Good luck :)</p>

<p>Everything people say here is pretty on target. I think you have a good shot at Duke, and pretty much everything else except the ivies and Stanford. Don’t worry too much</p>
