Will Brandeis rescind my admission?

So... I got a pretty terrible case of senioritis. I've been offered a spot at Brandeis University, but my second semester grades make me feel like I'll get rescinded.

Here are my second semester grades:

Strength and Conditioning - (A-)
Business Law (A)
AP Biology (B)
AP Macroeconomics (A)
AP English Lit (B)
AP Calc AB (D+) <------ DUNDUNDUN
AP Psychology (A-)

So, 4 As, 2 Bs, and 1 D. Calc is my only "bad" grade, but since it's such a low grade, do you think I'll get rescinded? Oh and some other background stats, my weighted GPA is around 4.1, 33 ACT, and I was the captain of my debate team w/ honors.

Do you think I'll get my admissions rescinded? And does anyone have any anecdotal information to share about this? My friend Andy got a two Ds his second semester, and U of I made him explain his situation, and put him on probation, but didn't rescind his admission. Would Brandeis do something similar? Typically, how many decisions do adcoms "rescind" in a given year? I think U of I is something like 15?

Also, if it makes a difference, I'm a history major.

Pretty sure one D won’t get you rescinded, even if it’s Brandeis.

Now, if you had three D’s…maybe there would be an issue.

Since it’s an AP class, I don’t think it’ll hurt you. Isn’t a D in an AP class the same as a C in honors? And they say a C in an honors class is the same as a B in a regular class.

You need to check with Brandeis to find out what Brandeis would do. Call them. Since it’s only a semester (and not final) grade I would think you would be OK but since I don’t work for that college I don’t know.

Call your admissions rep at Brandeis, and give her a heads-up. Get her on your side by assuring her that you are not a victim of severe senioritis, as is evidenced by your other grades. Let her know what you are doing in response to your problem with calculus…what help/resources are you taking advantage of ? Ask her what Brandeis might want you to do …maybe volunteer to take a summer math class at a local cc or on line to shore up your math skills before you hit campus? And will your math weakness have any impact on success in your anticipated major?

Your maturity in accepting responsibility will be in your favor, as will be the fact that you are being proactive in seeking help…an important thing to do when you are on campus should you run in to academic difficulty.
