Mich is high reach ----rest look like they’re matches.

Michigan ain’t easy to get in. Maybe being black could help you, but overall, really work on that SAT. Maybe you can even try the ACT. Overall, the rest are just matches or safeties.

I’m glad you love the university of connecticut! I have several friends that are going and it was one of my top choices for a while. Your unweighted doesn’t look too bad, but try raising your GPA/SAT if possible. Your extracurriculars seem to be on point, and you seem to have great strengths there. I think you have a good shot at every one of them, except as the previous poster mentioned, Michigan is not easy to get in, but definitely not impossible. Apply and see what happens, but those are some great schools anyway.

@shawnspencer I raised my sat super score for math reading to a 1330 :)! 710 math and 620 reading do you think it still needs to go up ?

UF is a reach. Your GPA is pretty low for UF and having 4 weighted classes probably won’t increase your UF GPA by much.

@SugarBubbleTea ya I was expecting u mich and florida to be big reaches . Do you know about the others ?

With your SAT, id say everything else is a match

I think for the other ones you are in decent shape. 5 APs isn’t anything to joke about either. I’m curious though as why you didn’t add more honors classes into the mix in previous years? It seems like a pretty big jump.

Anyways, if you are wondering here are the freshman profiles of recent admits to both schools

<a href=“Freshman - How To Apply - University of Florida”>http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/frprofile.html
<a href=“Office of Budget and Planning”>Office of Budget and Planning;

Keep in mind that the second link is enrolled freshmen and that colleges take into account more than your sat scores, although it appears that Michigan takes into account writing. Your current scores seem to be in the range, which is good. As you may have heard, the SAT format is changing next year so retaking it will likely be in that new format, whether that is a positive or negative that remains to be seen.

@shawnspencer my school only offers honors bio chem geometry trig and pre calc. And my school is super competitive so to get into those classes you have to have like an A+ in the class before it their admissions profiles seem to be out of my range especially the gpa. It kills me , but those were my two biggest reaches so I wouldn’t be sad if I got rejected from there

@SugarBubbleTea thanks !
