Made a chance me earlier, this one’s for a friend.

Race: Black
SAT: 1950
ACT: 31
SAT 2: Chem [800] US [760] Math TBD [Atleast 750, prob ~780-800]
GPA: 94.5 [Small, highly competitive high school with only 100 seniors. No class rank, all courses are honors or APs]

AP’s taken: AP Chem 5
AP US 5
AP World Hist 4

Taking: BC, Physics 1

EC’s
-Pianist at local church 3 years
-Played with jazz orchestra pubicly a few times
-Math team one year
-Math research on the carrying capacity of nyc; won second place at regional research competition
-Music performance club 3 years
-Handball team 3 years
-National Honor Society member: volunteer work, tutoring, etc.

Your stats look good. If your essays are killer you’re a competitive applicant. however it’ll still be a reach, but with affirmative action you have a better chance than a white applicant with the same stats.

I think you will have a good chance at all of these schools if your essays are good (did you apply ed anywhere? your chances will be higher too if you did)
Your sat score is a little low, so i wouldnt send that, and your act score is also a little low but not low enough to get you rejected. You have good EC’s and subject tests though, so i think those will balance it out. Columbia and yale will obviously be the toughest to get into, but its still worth a shot!

Pretty good. I would send ACT and not SAT. If you have great essays, I think they’re all in-reach, but it could go either way, especially Columbia and Yale.
