My LORs will be pretty nice, as I'm confident that the two teachers I got to write my letters (human geography and biology) wrote really nice letters. I also have some nice hooks with a whole LOT of ECs and community service. So now that you know all this about me, what do you think?

Thank you for your time I greatly appreciate it- WILL CHANCE BACK! :D

Cornell- got a legit shot
UC- match
UVA- match

Chance back

does got a legit shot mean low reach? lol thanks man

I mean, I’m not exactly sure, you’ve got a few wild cards… The 3 yr graduate, and you’re scores. It really depends on your recs and essays I think.

well ok thanks :)- bump!

bump!!!

it’s not really a hook per say, but it definitely increases chances if you’re a minority

I would say you have a pretty decent chance at Cornell, along with many of your other schools. University of Pennsylvania is very selective so I truly can’t say, but your SAT and ACT are just a tad low. In addition, I’m not sure if graduating early will always help you, just because colleges may want to see that you fully utilized the high school experience and didn’t overlook essential experiences there.

Chance me back?
“Chance me for williams, davidson, cornell, brown, etc.”

thanks for the chance- can u give me a clickable link though? nice name btw lol

bahaha thanks skyrim was my life from january to april last year. i’m kind of new so i don’t know how to do that (not the most technologically inclined person) but my post’s on the 1st page.

u just copy and paste the link of ur thread? lol

bump…

Lookin pretty good
UVA: match
NYU: match (lowish)
U Washington: match
UChicago: reach
UPenn: reach but still a good shot
USC: match

as a previous poster said, being asian is DEFINITELY NOT a hook, there are so many asians in college. But still you have good credentials

I actually have friend in a similar situation like you. He isn’t Asian but he runs a business (2 actually in computer programming) and cares for a disabled person (His Autistic brother). He didn’t actually have a 4.0 GPA (3.9 unweighted) but he’s applying to Brown ED and all the other top schools. I think you do have a legit shot at Cornell and UPenn. UChicago is definitely in your reach too, though I like the Ivies better for your interests. UVA might be reach if you’re out of state. Overall, I really like your profile.

Rate mine please!

thanks for the input- mine is kinda different though because I don’t have a dad and live alone with my mom, I’m forced to take care of her because we don’t have any family in the country.

Bump!!!

Cornell CALS Early Decision - Low Reach

UChicago Early Action - Reach

U of Virginia Early Action - High Match

UM - High Match

Washington U in St. Louis - Low Reach

NYU - High Match

USC - High Match

UF - Low Match

UPenn - Low Reach

Rice University - High Match

Test scores are kind of low, being Asian is pretty much the anti-hook (hurts you, doesn’t help you), but rank and extracurriculars will keep you competitive. If you have the time, a chance-back would be greatly appreciated: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1423569-chance-couple-schools-will-chance-back.html

thanks- bump!!!

Asian isn’t a hook lol. They’re an ORM so it actually hurts your chances.

It’s your test scores. Main thing holding you back. Your list is doable, but be prepared for some rejection letters. The 3 year graduate thing is weird and I don’t know how that’ll factor in. Thanks for the rate and good luck!

thanks for the chances- how would I have the same chance at UVA as I would at Cornell? whatever, I’m just a bit concerned that I’ll get rejected at all of those schools and won’t have anywhere to go- am I good enough to consider UF my safety or should I also apply to FSU?
