Please tell me your opinions and thank you for your time. I will chance back!

your GPA seems really good, and your SAT score is solid if not outstanding, ie, definitely good enough for all the colleges that you posted up there. your ECs are also pretty good…nothing overly positive or negative about them, except that you dont really have any huge leadership positions which might hurt your chances a little.
imo…

Cornell: reach- the legacies will help, but i’d say 65/35 odds even still
Northwestern- high reach. this is a really competitive place with a high emphasis on ECs, and yours dont jump off the paper
UNC- probably. i’d say good chances
UMichigan- probably
Tufts- probably- your GPA will help you there :stuck_out_tongue:
UMaryland (Could I get $$?)- most likely in. you miight be able to get money depending on your family’s financial state, but i wouldnt bet on too many academic scholarships from them. on the other hand there’s loots of other scholarships available that you can still go for :stuck_out_tongue: good luck!
p.s. chance me back if you have time? :)

thank you…any other opinions?

upward trend, legacy, decent ECs. i presume as litmag editor you’ll write good essays. imma say you’re in at cornell ED. (however, this yr they did reject a senior of mine who eventually got stanford so don’t take my word for the gospel truth).

decent chances throughout your list. good luck.

chance me back:

alright, thanks a lot…i’m not too worried about writing the essay itself but rather thinking of an original and insightful topic to write about
