Will class rank be taken into account?

<p>I go to a small private school where it is about 30 kids per grade. So to be in the top 10%, you need to be in the top 3. Do colleges consider class rank if it is that small of a grade?</p>

<p>Sure. If your high school provides a rank colleges will use it their decisions, regardless of the class size. If the school is known they will be able to weigh the rank.</p>

<p>This said many private schools do not provide rank.</p>

<p>Class rank is always considered. However, in your situation top 10% is simply not enough. Adcoms will look for top 3%</p>
