Will colleges accept a january sat score? (rd applicant)

I already submitted my application, recs, transcript... EVERYTHING to all the colleges I want to apply to. My SAT was a 1910 and I sent that in (1240 composite).

Is there ANY chance the colleges listed below will except my SAT score if take it in January to increase my composite AND overall SAT score to a 1370-1410 composite?

Colleges:
Binghamton University - State Univ. of New York
Boston College
Boston University
Carnegie Mellon University
Cornell University
Dartmouth College
Duke University
Geneseo, State Univ. of New York
New York University
Northeastern University
Stanford University
Stony Brook University
University at Buffalo (SUNY)
University of Michigan
University of Pennsylvania
University of Virginia
Penn State - University Park

Also what will happen if I did NOT take any SAT II's? Colleges state that they want 2 SAT II's and the SAT OR just the ACT, but I'm not taking the SAT.

It will differ school-by-school. You’ll need to take the time to go to the admissions page of each website and see what it says. As for SAT II’s, if a school wants them, they want them. It’s your application fee to spend as you see fit, but I don’t think you would be considered without it; I imagine your application would be considered incomplete without it.

I have to be honest: statistically speaking, it’s very unlikely you will raise your SAT score by 130-170 points in this sitting. Good luck to you.

Look on SAT site for the approach called “Rush Scores.” I hope it still exists. That’s a fast-track that, some years ago, allowed scores to be sent with less in-between time, for a fee of course. And yes, each university has different deadlines and may reply differently if you ask about Rush Score.

Study incredibly well - pull out all the stops. Check out the Xiggi Method (see CC section on SAT Prep) for optimal time management as you prepare and take practice tests.

And I wonder if you should add some other small-campus SUNY’s, just in case.

@Mutti: The time I took my SAT I was diagnosed with pneumonia and I was on anti-biotics etc. hence I was not able to concentrate at a full 100%. Hence that was why I had a 1910 SAT but if I was alright, I would’ve hit 2050+. I also have been studying my weaknesses and my grade is probably going to hit mid 2100s.

Out of the 17 colleges I’m applying to, 13 of them DO accept January SAT scores. :D

Without researching this prior, I had already sent out my SAT grades (the 1910 one)… :frowning:
My Math 1 SAT II is a 580 as well as my USH SAT II is also a 580. Do you think it would be better to take the SAT 1 again? or take the SAT II’s over again?
