<p>For my first semester I got the following:
English 12: A
Math Analysis Honors: D
AP Gov't: C
Physics: B
Arts Management: A</p>
<p>This semester took me from a 3.97 GPA to a 3.85 and from my rank of 18/345 to 28/345.</p>
<p>Basically my question is : Are my chances greatly affected of getting into a good school?</p>
<p>Should I send a letter of explanation?
I am confident I will do A LOT better during my final semester
I also have 3 very good letters of recommendation.</p>
<p>I applied to UCSD ( I live in San Diego and recieved a letter assuring me that I will get accepted to a UC school, not one in particular), Boston University, Boston College, Seattle Pacific University, University of Washington, College of the Holy Cross, Point Loma Nazarene University, Syracuse University, NYU, Seattle University, and Wake Forest University (early decision).</p>
<p>I am also a Hispanic, if that matters at all</p>
