I wouldn't consider my self "smart" but I know I'm not stupid. I take mostly Ap and honors classes but i don't nessesarly get the best grades in them. I would like to go to a college and have the whole experience and allow myself to grow. Going into my senior year, I'm not sure if I'm going to get that chance. Please help me out and tell me what colleges i should apply for and chance me. I would like to attend Umbc or Ohio University

before my junior year i had a 2.5 gpa unweighted and 3.5 weighted.
what do you think?
i should have a 2.77 unweighted and 3.8 weighted

I’m pretty much in the same boat as you, I have a slightly higher gpa (2.91 uw). I would say you definitely have a chance at those schools, especially if you have high sat or act.

I think the best college for you to attend is Miami Dade College. The are very forgiving and if, and this is a big IF you do well enough, you might be able to make FIU. All the colleges you listed are High Reaches thank to that (medicore/sub-standard) GPA. :D

I don’t really think i’ll score very high on the SAT’s the best i could do is probably a 1600, is that good enough to make it into a decent college with a decent scholarship?

Hey guys i have the same question. I know everyone has different situation that will effects his GPA as well as his real potential. My gpa is 3.87 but I have been taking easy classes because my counselor said my English is not ready.
Freshmen year: history2, algebra2, esol ( English as a seconds language), regular chem, education for employment, and pe
Sophomore year: US/VA history, pre cal, English 9 , earth science, esol, psychology and sport marketing. I got all As in all classes.

Will that be trouble for me in getting in colleges? I’m not smart but I have passion to overcome myself. Any feedback is appreciated from the bottom of my heart.

From what i know you shouldn’t have a hard time getting into colleges with a 3.87 gpa. but try to take at least 1 2 AP or Honors classes during your junior year. Don’t stress about it you’ll definitely get accepted into good colleges.
