Will colleges account for changed grading scale?

Hi all,

My grades suffered in sophomore year as the grading scale was changed to 7 point from a 10 point. This resulted in what would have been a 3.9 GPA on the 10 point scale becoming a 3.4. Will colleges account for this when reviewing my app?

No, unless your guidance counselor adds perspective to the Secondary School Report.

All your classmates will have suffered through the same change. Did your class rank remain unchanged? If not then the GPA drop wasn’t due to the grading change.
