Will colleges ask for my community college class transcripts?

I dropped out of AP stats first semester and received a W on my transcript, but my GC said it was okay and I could just take a Stats class at a community college second semester. On my common app, I explained in my additional statement that I have a W but would register for a community college class. I tried to register today but there's no more room left, so I can't take it.

My question is, will colleges contact me and ask for my transcript from the community college to prove it? What should I say to them since I couldn't take it after all?

I have a 3.6 GPA unweighted and a good chance to get into schools, but I don't want this to result in them rejecting me...

You should contact them and tell them that due to ‘enrollment constraints, I will not be attending xxx at yyy this Spring. Instead, I will be taking zzzz.’ If you can, also get your counselor to explain the space issue in her mid-year report.

You need to contact all of these schools, particularly because you are no longer taking an academic course that you told them you were taking at a dual-enrollment level. Your GC will report this to them, but you need to also explain why, because this can affect your admissions decision.

Edit to mention: When you enroll, you will also need to send them an official transcript from all schools you have attended and all courses for which you received credit.

Thank you so much purpleacorn!! I was freaking out before…I’ll go talk to my GC tomorrow and sort things out.

Especially if it’s not your fault and your counselor helps you explain it, it shouldn’t be a big deal. What would suck is if they made an admissions decision based on one idea and then decided to revoke/reconsider later. Good luck.
