Will colleges know I got expelled if it’s not on my transcript?

To put it short, I got expelled at the end of my freshman year and then after my expulsion was over I started going to a different school, which is now my current school. I requested my transcript from my current school and there are no disciplinary records. Will colleges not know that I have been expelled because of this? Should I check yes or no when they ask if I have ever been expelled/suspended? I’m also worried because I have all A’s and B’s except for in my freshman year when I got expelled. In my freshman year, I have one D, one B, and a few C’s. Will that affect my chances of admission? Do they care about freshman grades?

Your freshman transcript is part of your transcript. If your current school doesn’t include it, then you will need to supply it. Request a copy of your transcript and see what it says. They may not consider that you were expelled, just that you left the school. That’s the information you should put on the applications, either that you were expelled (if it says you were) or that you left that school.

My current school does include my freshman transcript and my grades for it. It just doesn’t say I was expelled.

You were expelled. You should say yes. Don’t lie.
