Will colleges know records from high school summer programs

I was technically enrolled at a college for a summer quarter as part of a high school program. Me, along with 10 or so other students were asked to leave because of our involvement in a situation. Let’s just say someone on our floor got seriously hurt after consuming alcohol, and even though it was proven that I was not participating, they decided to remove everyone in the vicinity, including two undergrad students that were our RAs. So my question is, will my record go into some sort of database like National Student Clearing House? My transcript from there just says that I withdrew from those classes. Will colleges have access to my discipline records from that college. Many people are telling me I’m paranoid and that colleges will unlikely search for the information since I did not mention it in my apps. It also helps that I attended a different college program that I did receive credit from. I just want to know what the chances are that colleges will find out this information.

Also, my high school doesn’t know of the situation. I don’t know if that matters.

You need to ask the college which this occurred at how they’re handling it. Sounds like you never received any formal disciplinary action. They just made you withdraw and left you with a clean record, in which case you’re fine and have nothing to report. But you should confirm with them that this is the case.

However, if the above is not the case and you do have formal disciplinary action on your record, you should be upfront about the information. It honestly probably won’t make a difference in your applications, but if they find out you withheld it, the consequences are great (rescinded acceptances, etc).

If this program awards college credits for completing the course, you need to find out what your record at that college/university indicates.

Were you withdrawn without generating a transcript? Then you never need to report this.

Was a transcript generated that indicates you received a W in the class? Then yes, you do need to provide an official copy of that transcript when you apply for admission to any accredited college or university in the US.

If you have any kind of college credit record (even a W, or an F) for a course, even if you got it as part of a summer program, you are supposed to be reporting that. (Cross posted with hmof1).
