Will colleges look down on my application if I didn’t take AP Biology in my sophomore year like the majority of my class? I could have taken the class, but I didn’t think I could handle 7 periods. But it turns out that I was probably capable of handling 2 AP classes sophomore year. Now because of this poor choice, I will take at least 1 less AP class than my other fellow classmates throughout my high school years. But I’m going to take 4 AP junior year and 3 senior year. Will this make up for not taking 2 AP classes sophomore year?
Don’t worry about it, but if you do have to worry about it, talk to your guidance counselor. He or she can offer better advice on what your school considers the most rigorous courseload than anyone here can. Good luck!
So the MAJORITY of your HS class took AP Bio as Sophomores? Really? Ask your HS GC what they will put down for level of rigor.
