If you are rejected EA/ED and you send in another application for regular decision will adcoms really notice considering they're being flooded with 20,000+ other apps? Even if they don't find out right away, i'm pretty sure they'd find out eventually right? My friends insists that adcoms discard all rejected apps. I'm pretty sure they keep them for awhile right?

They almost definitely would keep your name on file. They must use a computer database, and I’m sure that as soon as they try to enter in your app information they’d find out.

I believe they said somewhere they keep them for 3 years before deleting them, so yes they would find it strange that there already is a application w/ the same identification when they go to file the newly recieved one.

yes because the computer system that is capable of remembering much more than 20,000 apps will.

They will definitely keep the application on file for a while.

remembering many more**

doesnt matter…each region has an admissions officer that reads all early and rd applications…no doubt they will remember you

The applications generally are entered on computer systems by social security number, so yes the schools would notice a second application.
