Will colleges think I am doing clubs just to pad a transcript?

Hey guys, here are the clubs I am in:

Key Club, French Club. Environmental Club. Human Rights & Justice Club. Youth & Government. Environmental Club member...NHS next year (Junior-senior year)

Do you guys think that I have too many/too random clubs? Truthfully, they all interest me. But I don't want colleges to think that I just went "club-shopping" to pad a transcript.

Will you guys give me some advice?

Thank you so much!

Why did you make 5 threads?
Next time post all of your questions in one

To answer your question, it depends on you. You have to make them appear coherent (something you appear to lack at the moment).

Quality will serve you well, quantity is fine if you can back it up with hours and leadership positions, but if you graduate as a MEMBER of 7 clubs that took 1 hour ever other week than your ecs were a waste of time since you obviously didn’t care much about them.

French Club - This is not just a random club because I am in AP French.
Key Club - This is not just a random club because I hold a leadership postition.
Human Rights & Justice - Shows my interest in politics
Youth & Government - Shows my interest in politics
Environment - I admit this one is a little random.
NHS - Doesn’t that always look good?

Thank you for the great advice though.

I didn’t say they were random, I’m just saying don’t make them seem random. I’m not the AO =D

lol I apologize if I appear antagonistic, you just really need to learn how to be succinct.

It’s okay, I wasn’t directing that comment at you :] i just wanted any readers to know WHY i was in the clubs and the only club I picked that was random was environmental…It just seems unclear to me bc the clubs are not tied together and are unrelated except human & justice and youth & government…

Wow I am in nearly the exact same clubs as you. Personally I think all these clubs show a common interest of current events, the world, and government/politics. They are pretty connected, I wouldn’t worry about it.
