will courses not required for Haas count in GPA towards Haas?

if i take courses that are not required for Haas will they count towards the GPA Haas uses to admit students?

also, can you apply to Haas after 1 year (assuming i fullfill all the prerequisites)?

The courses may fall into the breadth requirement category instead.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but you only get one at applying for Haas. If you try to apply after one year, there are several possible consequences.

1) You crammed all the prereqs together into two semesters that your grades will suffer (harsh curves)
2) You will have no time/little time at all to breathe and take a break from academics, have a fun time.

with all my Ap's and community college courses i can fullfill most of the breadth requirements and prerequisites. therefore it is possible to finish all breadth and prerequisite courses in 1 year. i do not want to apply to Haas after 1 year. but in my second year what courses should i take? and will these courses count towards Haas GPA?

most people apply to haas their sophomore year, by the time you apply you have to finish all your prereqs and 7 of the 9 breadth courses.
