<p>What do you mean “same course”? Is it one of those classes where the exact same class (same building/time/professor/etc) just has two course titles in different departments (and is notated as such in the course number)?? Or that you believe it covers the same material as the course you need in your department?</p>

<p>Yeah you should be fine - I would talk to your department and ask them, though. See if they can get you a PTE so you can switch to the listing in your own department (so at least it is easier to track on your transcript and whatnot)</p>
