From the looks of it I’ll get a C in Driver’s Ed if I’m lucky but it’s starting to look like I’m going to get a D or, in the worst case scenario, an F. At my school, Driver’s Ed does not affect your GPA but it does show up on your transcript. I’m an otherwise mostly A student (occasionally with 1 or 2 B’s) taking higher-level classes (AP/Honors). If I fail Driver’s Ed will it affect my college admissions?
If it’s not calculated into your cumulative GPA, then it should not be a problem.
Most schools systems do not even offer Driver’s Ed, let alone include it on a transcript.
I would not be too worried, as the college admission folks won’t be looking for it,
and it’s not an academic or EC comparison point with other applications.
It should be fine. At best, they’ll get a chuckle out of it, at worst they’ll worry that you slacked off. It seems more like you’re a bad driver than a purposeful slacker, though!
@newkidnewtrix Yeah, I’m trying but I’m just a horrible driver. :))
You sound like my best friend in high school! She couldn’t drive to save herself. We were paired up in driver’s ed, and I remember her driving over quite a few curbs while practicing. She went on to get a PhD in history, so I think you’ll be OK!
@MaineLonghorn It’s scary how much I relate to your friend. My problem is driving over curbs too! Thanks for the pep talk.
Don’t worry,it won’t matter.
Maybe buy a bus pass though.
