Will dropping a class 2nd semester senior year affect my acceptance?

I'm currently taking AP Environmental Science and I want to drop it, however, I’m concerned that it may affect my college acceptance. I mean even after I notify all my schools of the drop will this factor in any way to my decision?

why the hell doesn’t anyone every reply to me threads, I mean ever? lol

I do not think dropping the course in second semester would negatively affect your application. When you apply, your transcript (required up through first semester of senior year) makes no representation of what courses you will be taking the second semester of senior year. But I am not an expert on this, and I think you should pose the question to your GC.

Ya I want to know this aswell. But I dropped an AP class 2nd semester also and I don’t think it should be a big deal. Schools won’t see it till you’ve been accepted. They shouldn’t rescind admission over a dropped class

Well, why are you dropping the class? I assume it’s a year long class and you’ve already completed the first semester of it, so why drop now?

I have the same question, I want to drop AP Economics (which is a semester-long course at my school) because I just took on too much with 4 APs, a difficult math class, and being editor of the school newspaper. I emailed the majority of my colleges today to see if it would impact their decision. I’ll post here once I get a response!

I’d just tough it out. Schools won’t rescind you for a B in that class or a B in any of your classes really, but I’m not sure how’d they respond to a dropped class.
