Hi! I was recently accepted into UNCG (my top choice), and second semester of my senior year begins next week. I just finished Honors Chemistry II, and I’m supposed to be taking AP Chemistry second semester, but I’ve decided it would be best for my grades and mental health to drop it. It’s extremely difficult and so is my teacher. I’ll be sticking with AP English and AP Biology, and was just wondering if dropping one rather difficult AP class would put me at risk for having my admission rescinded? I’m majoring in Elementary Education if that matters, thanks!
Before you change the schedule, you should contact the admission office of UNCG first to see if it is okay. You should email them so you will have their response in record. Senior schedule is part of the application and one of the parameter in the admission review process. It may potentially impact your admission decision. If you have other application pending, you need to notify the admission office of all the pending schools too.
Agreed. Especially since in another thread you are planning to drop AP Bio and AP Chem.
I just said I was sticking with AP Bio. Thanks!
Sorry, I read too quickly. But you should still contact the college.
