will duke score choice hurt me?

@JalapenoGreens‌ (re post #19):

I believe you are correct.

Duke considers every candidate’s best CR, Math, and Writing SAT I scores plus his two best SAT II results (http://admissions.duke.edu/application/instructions#testing). However, Duke REQUIRES applicants to submit their COMPLETE SAT (and/or ACT plus Writing) testing records, for ALL examinations taken during high school (box on upper right of the same webpage, and elsewhere on Admissions’ website).

To summarize, every applicant MUST provide the results of EVERY SAT (I and II) or ACT (with writing) examination, however, Duke will assess the best scores.

The foregoing policy was slightly altered for this year’s undergraduate applications; who knows, next year’s might again be modified?

@TopTIer if I am planning to send in my ACT scores and also wanted to send my sat 2 scores, only the two best sat 2 scores would be considered? Like if I took the math 2(800), chem (720), and us history (600), my unfortunate US history score would not be seen by duke?

To update this thread if anyone passing by needs this info (this is straight from the same section of the site that @TopTier mentioned):

This includes the ACT and SAT I. They will still use the highest section score (read: they allow Score Choice, and they superscore).
