So about 30 students are applying to Emory from my school. Emory is my first choice, and I know some of those students that are applying are a lot better than me. I'm really worried. Do colleges set a limit to how many people they accept from a high school? Will that many people applying to Emory affect my chances of getting in?

I doubt that they “set a limit” on high school acceptances. Frankly, I would not fret about the large numbers of people who apply to Emory. Focusing on the competition will drive you crazy. Just present yourself in the best possible light, show “demonstrated interest,” write compelling essays and let the admissions office know that Emory is your first choice. Also, why not apply to Oxford as well, just in case.
