Will February ACT scores make it in time?

What about the January SAT scores?

Each college's website should tell you exactly which scores they accept.

And as you search, you will find: essentially all take December scores, many take Jan test scores but many don't, and a small minority take the Feb test scores.

I've been wondering the same thing myself... Because I really don't want to pay the standby fee for December ACT, but I want to make sure February scores will get there in time. I heard that the February scores usually won't be too late for merit scholarships at a lot of colleges though.

You should check the merit scholarship deadlines for your schools. At the schools my Daughter is applying to the initial application deadlines are mid feb which would mean the Feb ACT would be too late. They do still give merit money out for later applicants but only if there is money left. As this could effect your merit money for the next 4 years it might be worth paying for the standby.
