I'm from a middle class family applying to Exeter, Andover, St. Paul's School, and Loomis Chaffee. Will the amount of financial aid significantly decrease? I don't want to be excluded from possible attendees just because I don't have the money to pay for a better education.

Could you rate each school based on their ability to give Financial Aid?

“Ability” to give aid, in the precise order that you listed, if you base it on the magnitude of the endowment, from greatest to least. But recall that, unfortunately, “ability” and “willingness” are not synonymous.

These schools are loaded with money. If they want you, they will provide the necessary financial aid package. Plus, Andover has a need-blind policy.

Anyway, come to Andover if you get in! It is absolutely the best decision I have ever made in my life. It is great here!

bigblue17: I was accepted to Andover and Exeter and I’m having a hard time choosing. I don’t know my FA Package for Exeter yet… But Andover was very… well… how do I put it… generous! Why do you think I should go to Andover?

Ulu09, congratulation on your happy struggle between Exeter and Andover!
DO you mind pm me your profile? MY twinzie would apply next year 2010 as 9th graders, and we need a full FA. I would appreciated. Thnks.
