Will freshman year ruin me?

I am in the class of 2017, therefore a sophomore.

Last year I basically flopped.

My first sem UW was a 3.8 and my secod sem was a 3.6. I got a B- in hon. precalc second sem and a b+ first sem. In addition, I got a B+ in AP phys. B, A- in APWH, and an A- in Hon. English

Although this year is going much better, with harder classes even ( got all A's and one A- on my first quarter report card w/ 4 AP's, one honors, and two regular classes), and I expect that junior and senior year will follow suit, my freshman grades will still look bad.

So, as the title says, will the freshmen grades ruin my chances of getting into a good school (I am aiming for the Ivies)? Thank you for your time

no

that’s good to hear.

You did not flop, Bs aren’t bad. Youll be fine

Don’t worry about it. Its over, finished, done. Look forward.

You have it all wrong my friend.

Stop “aiming for the ivies” like that’s a goal. It’s a bogus goal.

The goal is to become the person that you want to be. There are many colleges that will enable you in that goal.

Live your life. Do the things that you want to do. Do your best in school. Become the person that you want to be.

Don’t live in fear of failure. Get enough sleep so that you don’t damage your cognitive functioning.

Come back junior year and find some colleges that are good for YOU.

I get 7-8 hours of sleep on weekdays and 9-10 on weekends, so it’s not like I’m sleep deprived or anything…

Really, only reason I say “aiming for the Ivies” is because I want to max out my potential. If it doesn’t work out, no pressure from anyone.

Thanks for the advice, everyone

Oh no, you’re screwed. Just kidding! You’re fine! B’s aren’t the end of the world!
