Will Fu requite my loooooove?

I love Columbia, but I'm afraid that my EC's lack a bit.
Assuming that my grades are good enough, can you guys tell me if my EC's are, too?
I'm an Asian female and I'm a junior, applying to Fu.

Volunteering @ Hospital 500hours
Tutoring Math/French 200hours
Varsity Swim (three years)
Journalism
French Club
Science Bowl
+ high positions in a few other clubs that i wont mention in order to not get recognized. my classmates lurk around CC, apparently. haha
I've also won a few essay competitions and a science fair.

oh wow i bump.
bumpity

SAT 2 Scores are very important to SEAS. What did you get on those and what was your SAT reasoning score?

700 BIOM
800 MATHIIC

SAT (I’ve retaken it, and i think I did LOADSSS better this time xP) 2200
790 WR
700 CR
710 M

I’m taking chem and us. I’m also retaking biom.

You haven’t fullfilled the SAT 2 requirment for SEAS.
The Columbia site states that a SEAS student must take a chem or physics SAT 2 along with any Math SAT 2. You’ve taken math, but have failed to take either chem or phys. Register for the Jan SAT administration asap.

Oh I know.
I’m taking chem in june.
I’m a junior…xP

lol 6 replies… four of them by me. help guys help :P

You don’t need to take U.S. history, and the bio m score already seems to be good enough, but I guess you could improve it a bit.

if i’m going into engineering, SAT USH wouldnt help me much?

so
a 700 biom
800math2c
and a
700-800 chem
would cut it?

A score of 700-800 would cut it for, but a score of 750 or above would be ideal for chem.

Wait, so you’re a junior applying to go to college a year early?

nope
I’m just a neurotic junior who wants to get in next year. i reaaaalllly like columbia. i’m applying early decision next year, too. i’ll be getting my sat scores on tuesday, so i’ll update then. I originally posted this thread to ask you all if my EC’s were good enough, though. hehhe any thoughts?

You have solid community service hours, but lack leadership positions.

Competitions are good though. Were they regional, state, national, or international? How well did you place?

Also, try to bring up that SAT score if at all possible.

I have high leadership positions in all the clubs that I’m in. (i really dont want to be recognized, so i wont specify… hehe)

the essay comp. and the science fair were both regional… =S

I also have a pretty good hook, and you can PM me if you want to know what it is.
