Actually, for the Class of 2006 at Walton... they're not that crazy about grades. There are like, 675 juniors in that class, so I think you'd have a safe shot at being in the top maybe 3 or 4%?

And having a 4.17 & being ranked # 35 is not bad at all. If you were a senior at Walton, you'd be ranked like # 150. Out of 606 seniors, the top 200 kids have a 4.0+ which is ridiculous. So you could be like, 30% and have a 4.023 or something.

Anyway, I'm curious who has corrupted your mind on the Walton thing. He/she is probably right though -- everybody applies to the same schools and it's annoying.

uh...i said it after your comment BBDarlin...u said "why dont u transfer to walton?"

and my answer is i probably wouldnt want to bcuz like u said, waltons much more competitive...

You should not transfer to Walton if you want your rank to stay that high. Walton is an EXTREMELY competetive school. The GPA for the current valedictorian for junior year is a whopping 4.600. I know 3 people that are tied for second place with all A's in all AP classes. My GPA is like a 4.44 and i'm number 9 in walton. I don't agree completely with BBDarlin05, walton is a very difficult and competetive high school. It has curently 607 juniors in the class and i believe the top 60+ have a GPA of over 4.00, which is just plain crazy.

yea, i agree with you...thats why im not even considering transferring to walton...besides at my high school, only my class of 2006 seems to be somehow extremely competitive and smart...i have a friend wit 4.0 gpa and is ranked 63 or somthing lik dat...and another friend wit 4.1 who is ranked 48...a friend wit 4.15 and ranked 39...a friend wit 4.29 and ranked 17...a guy wit 4.23 and #28...and another dude wit 4.38 and #9...so its kind of crazy...and there are only 500 ppl which kinda sux...i would have a decent shot at 5%...

actually, i think everyone who comes to the board has a shot...lol, but i am still freaked out bec my B's are under 80% (Canadian marks, lol)...=(

yea...out of my 6 B's i have two 89's...which really **** me off...and two 88s, one 87, one 86...
it sux...cuz there are two teachers for each subject usually...and i always seem to get the harder one...it sux...

Of course it will.

Well that's unfortunate sammo
