<p>no it doesnt hurt your chances supposedly... however many people either get into one or the other, not both.. but then again there are exceptions</p>

<p>I always thought that being accepted by one selective school would make it more likely you're the right person for another as well, so NO, I don't think so. If they had some secret thing going NONE of us would have been accepted to both. I really don't believe either knows (or cares) what the other one does. Geez, supposedly even adcoms do their little thing independently, and not in committee. That is one thing I would not worry about.</p>
