Will good ACT score compensate for not so good SAT I score when applying to UCs?

Since UC forces you to send all your scores, will a good ACT compensate for a not as hot SAT score? To send my math 2 score (800) I had to send my 2120 SAT as well as Chem 750 and US History 780. While my SAT I score isn’t dismal, it’s not as good as I would like it.

Thus, if I send my 36 ACT score, will it be considered instead of the SAT I? Or should I retake the SAT I in order to make sure all my scores are in order?

Yes, you’re right.

They will consider your 36 ACT instead of the 2120 SAT.

Send both. 36 ACT is amazing, yes, but sending both scores will be even better (trust me). They won’t flinch from your SAT score, so send both scores.

@hotwater98 Do you have any evidence to support sending both scores is better?

The only evidence I have was that the UC admissions officer visited my school and said that. Pretty sure you can also find on the official UC website that sending both is just as good, if not better, as sending only one.
