Will good senior year grades make me look bad?

So during my freshman, sophomore, and junior years...I didn't do so well in school. I didn't take many APs or honors, and my GPA was around a 3.5. However, this year, I'm taking 4 APs and one honors class, and my Q1 grades are unusually good (3.8ish).
Will colleges think that I've been lazy for the past three years and only started trying in school now to impress them?

uh.

yes. getting good grades is very bad. colleges hate when you get good grades.

Of course not. Upward trending grades are always a plus…ALWAYS. This is one thing you can count on during admissions. Perhaps one of the only sure things.

^TITCR.

A 3.5 isn’t even bad in and of itself (ahhh I hate that phrase so much), and the upward trend can only help you.

Yeah a 3.5 isn’t bad at all unless you’re applying to Harvard or other Ivies. My GPA is a 2.4 for the same reason as you, but so far senior year my GPA is a 3.8. I am SCREWED; the only thing saving me is a 31 ACT and application essays.
