Will Grade deflation of BME degree at Boston U screw me over Med School?

So I'm going to be a Biomedical engineering major at Boston University in the fall, and I'm going to work my ass off in order to get into their ENGMEDIC program which basically combines Engineering and Pre-Med in the last 2 years of undergrad so I can complete both my pre-med requirements and my engineering degree requirements. So I would graduate Boston University with a BS in Biomedical Engineering.

The thing is GPA is like everything to get into Med School and Engineering majors typically have lower GPA's due to harder courses (or idk about harder, just the nature of engineering).

So is that going to really screw me over? Do you see any alternate routes for me to take right now such as getting good grades my first 2 years in undergrad and then transferring into a strictly pre-med program at another school and possibly having to take a fifth year of undergrad to finish the requirements?

I’m applying to colleges, and I’m thinking about the same issues. Engineering students rarely have GPAs comparable to non-engineering students who work equally hard. I’m also interested in BME. Let me know what you find out.
