Will GT consider letters of continued interest for deferred students?

GT is by far my #1 school, and I was deferred EA. My grades for the first semester of senior year were even better than before (All A’s except a B+ in Art History). I’m wondering if the admissions office will consider a letter or email that I send them which just states how much I want to get in and how prepared I am to succeed?

Thanks!

Can’t guarantee they will consider it but I would send one. It won’t hurt.

Yes, It can actually help a lot. If they know it is your top choice then they know you will be attending if you are admitted so it gives them an extra reason to admit you. It shows you are truly interested and not just applying to see if you can get in and then not attend.

Although I am not certain, I believe that Georgia Tech admissions does not consider demonstrated interest.

Nevertheless, because you are human & because you were deferred, the letter of continued interest will be sent. I do not think that it will hurt your chances in any way.

What address do you send it to?
