Will having too many "disorganized" extra curriculars hurt me when it comes into admissions?

I was just wondering if it'll look bad if a person applying to a college has too many extra-curriculars - especially when they all have to do with different things. I think I read somewhere that colleges like to see people who have one single passion and pursues that passion in high school. (For ex. If a person really likes science and is good at science, all his clubs will predominantly have to do with science).

I am only asking this because so far I will be the President and/or officer of a few clubs (2-4) and also a member in a few others (1-2). However all of my clubs are actually rather "disorganized". So far I will be the:
- President of two charity clubs and two volunteering club
- an officer in one other charity club and the Pre-Med club
- a layout associate in the newspaper club
- a member on the art board for my school magazine

So as you guys can probably tell, I will be doing a lot - even too much - extra curriculars but I don't know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. I joined all of these clubs because I thought that all of them were interesting and seemed fun and I didn't realize just how many clubs I am actually doing. But now that I actually think about it and list it all down, I realize that perhaps I'm actually doing too many clubs and none of them seem to have anything in common with each other.

My question is:
1) Is doing too many extra curriculars / clubs bad when it comes to applying for a college?
2) Are my clubs "too messy" and "lacking focus"?
3) What should I do about my clubs then? I like all of them too much to quit but I don't want to do so many that it looks like I'm only doing it for college.

Try choosing two clubs to be president of and hold solid officer positions in the rest if you don’t think you can handle it. Devote your focus on these clubs and re-innovate them into a solid club.

What’s the point of being officer of three different charity clubs? Choose 1, maybe 2. Same with volunteering, take 1 of them. I honestly think that’d look better than what you are proposing
