Will I be able to find internships and a job?

Hi, I'm a Sri Lankan student studying chemical engineering at the university of Manipal,India. I'm hoping to attend the masters programme at Uof Calgary or
Uof Alberta in Canada. I have several question about this idea.

1 Will I manage to get internships while on the course?
2 Will I easily find a job once I graduate?
3 I don't hold the Canadian citizenship or PR. Will Canadian
employers be ready to give me a job by accepting the 3
year work permit I get after graduation?

Please note: Your decision will greatly influence my career decision.
Please give me some good answers, guys.
Cheers!

At University of Alaska a large percentage of the Masters Petroleum engineering students are from India. Although they are some of the smartest people I know, oil companies will not hire 99% of them. These days companies in America do not hire international students. They used to 10 years ago but not anymore. Im betting the situation in Canada is likely very similar. I’ve heard Australia has a better job climate for internationals.

are there any more answers?

Here’s the thing. You need to assess your options. If you decide to stay in India and graduate there, the job market is typically a lot more competitive and you have very little chance in getting a good ‘technical’ job. If you do move out to the Americas you’ll get a degree that is typically more respected. Yes, it’ll be difficult to get internships and such, but if you push hard, study hard, its not impossible. Plus, if you do get one, you can pave the road towards more options.

If you’re going into oil, a lot of companies are skeptical of hiring international students for domestic projects but you might be able to convince them to hire you for an international project near Asia.
