Will i be able to get into a college?

i have a 2.8 gpa. My best ACT scores are: Composite=23, Science=24, Math=23, Reading=28, English=25,

Yes of course. Unless you got expelled from 5 different schools or something.

Well, there are always community colleges  But I’m pretty sure you’ll get in SOMEWHERE. A lot of people with bad gpas go to college. But you might wanna raise that ACT score a bit?

Read this from “Ask the Dean”. Even though your stats don’t completely match up, it will make you feel better and give you a strategy.
youngstown state is ohio, check it out!

Yes. If you tell us a little more about what you’d like in a school, and your financial situation, we may be able to ID some schools. Also, use the college search on this site.

mdiaz: the best person with info for you is your HS guid counselor. HE/she will tell you what others, with similar stats, have done.

Like T26E4 said, you should wait until the school year starts and ask your guidance counselor. Also, maybe consider retaking the ACT or taking the SAT. When applying to schools, maybe include one community college as a backup plan just incase. Also, you have a portion of senior year grades by the time you apply, so just try your hardest during that time period.

There are many schools, most likely in state, that have requirements of 2.5 GPA and a 17-19 ACT score to get in. My first choice was a school like that because they have great engineering and the school is affordable, but I’m reconsidering. You’ll definitely get in to some colleges though.

thanks everyone

schools im interested in:
Florida Gulf Coast University
Florida Atlantic University
University of Tampa
University of North Florida

what are my chances?
