Will I be able to get into UT Austin/Classes for my Junior year suggestions?

I’m a sophomore now, and my weighted GPA is a 3.4. It is so low because of my fall semester of my sophomore year. My freshman year GPA was 3.7. I’m started trying SOOOOO hard this whole spring semester, never making anything below a 91. I’m currently taking Chemistry, English II Honors, Culinary, Spanish III Pre-AP, P.E., World History Honors, and Geometry. I can easily get an A+ in everyone one of my classes now EXCEPT FOR CHEMISTRY. IT IS THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE.

Next year (Junior Year), I will be taking:
Anatomy and Physiology Honors (does UT Austin require a high school Physics credit?)
English III Honors
AP Psychology
AP Spanish IV Language and Culture
Tech Theatre
AP U.S. History
and either Algebra II or Algebra II Pre-AP (I haven’t decided yet because I’m not that good at math but I can maintain an A+ in the 4.0 class, but I’m scared that if I waiver into Pre-AP, I won’t be able to get out until January and won’t have a high enough grade to weight by GPA at all)

If I can maintain A- to A+ in all of my classes Sophomore and Junior year, pass all of my AP exams (hopefully), and join several clubs and volunteer, do you think I will be able to be accepted into UT Austin? They have an amazing Political Science and Psychology department (not sure which I want to major in yet). Thanks for the help!

Are you a Texas resident, and do you expect your class rank to be in the top 7%?

I’m a Texas resident, and I go to a really compsteive school and expect to be in the top 23+%

UT Austin is an admission safety for Texas high school student applicants with top 7% rank due to automatic admission (however, this does not mean automatic admission to certain popular majors). Since automatic admission is targeted to fill 75% of the frosh class, everyone else (including out-of-state applicants) must compete for the remaining 25% of the frosh class. Therefore, UT Austin should be considered a reach if you do not meet the automatic admission criteria.
