Will I be able to go to college in the US at all?

I have a 2.8 gpa in high school. My sat scores are 660 math 500 reading 540 writing. I come from Moscow, Russia. I was in the US only for 4 years. Have a good essay about that! My averages through high school are 87 first year, 78 second year, 84 third year, 88 first semester of my senior year. I participated in 10 clubs, and have no volunteer hours at all. I don't really know American college system well so can you guys please tell me if a have a chance of getting into a college in the US or do I have to go back to Russia for that?

Thanks

Colleges I want to attend

Baruch College (CUNY)

Rutgers University (Newark)

Pace University

Fordham University

You can easily get into pace with those numbers. However the other 3 are reaches.

Fordham might be tough, but your chances at Rutgers-Newark and Pace should be pretty good. I’m not sure about admissions at Baruch these days. Maybe add another Cuny branch as a safety.

What’s in-state for you and what’s your parents’ budget? WOuld you be commuting to Baruch (or another CUNY) or would you be living at home?
Pace is a quasi safety, Rutgers and Baruch are matches (apply to SUNY Albany and Rowan or TCNJ although that last one is a reach), Fordham is a big reach.
What a about Hoftstra, CCNY, SUNY New Paltz, Siena for matches, CUNY-CSI for a safety, Marist for a reach that’s more reachable than Fordham but still pretty good?
I’d advise you add one more safety and 1-2 more matches in any case, so that you can compare offers.

My family’s budget is enough to afford for me to go to private school however if things in Russia will worsen due to sunctions it will decrease rapidly. So in state school such as Baruch is really good just in case. Thanks for replying! It was really helpful!

well, your composite SAT score 1700, which is enough for Fordham)) (acceptance rate there is probably higher than 50%)
