I'm an incoming junior transfer, so I have not taken at Human Development classes. However, this class has prerequisites of HD 1150 and HD 2160. I am taking both these classes next semester. (At the same time I'm trying to take HD 3530.) Will they maybe let this slide and let me take it?

I’m in engineering but when it comes to a concurrent prereq situation like yours, we usually ask the professor if they’ll let us enroll. Email your professor about this issue. If the prof isn’t set yet, register for the class and email the professor as soon as you have a contact email.

I don’t think so. Considering that you are taking both prereq classes at the same time. I didn’t have this experience before, but I think the chance is small. Still ask the prof like what fallenmerc said though :)

Have you at least taken a General Psychology course? I know several students who have taken 300-level HD classes without taking HD 1150 (they had, however, taken General Psychology beforehand).

As others have already mentioned, your best bet is just asking the professor. :)

i told the prof who’s teaching 3530 that i was taking 2610 at the same time and she said it was no problem. i do have 1150 and 1170 as well as psych 1101 though. i think if you have at least one of those you’d be fine

Pre-requisites are not actually enforced when enrolling. However, it usually is a very good idea to have those pre-reqs. The computer system will not not let you enroll.
