Will I be accepted to Cornell?

I just applied to Cornell University early decision for the 2016-17 year. Do I have a reasonable chance of admission or are my hopes too ambitious, and if so what colleges do you think are more in my reach? I have an unweighted GPA of 4.0 on a 4 point scale and a cumulative average of 100.0455. My act score was a 28 with a 9 on the writing portion; however, I am waiting for my score to come back from the October test, which I sent to Cornell and I have a strong feeling that I scored a 30. My personal essay focused on founding the Gay/Straight Alliance at my school and being gay in the south (Mississippi) and influencing the culture at my school to accept people regardless of gender, race, sexuality, etc. My writing supplement was about being born deaf and growing up hearing impaired and how it inspired me to go to college in a medical pursuit. My extracurriculars include Student Body President, Soccer player, Drum Major of the Marching Band, National Honor Society Secretary, Tri-M Music Honors Society Historian, Gay/Straight Alliance President, Instrumental Music President, Pep-Rally Leader, and Orchestra member. In your opinion, do I have a chance of being accepted to Cornell University or will my ACT score ruin my chances?

Hard to say. There’s really no point in chancing as In about a month’s time, you’ll find out if you got in or not.
Best of luck.

It’s important that your extra-curriculars and essay reflect your interest/fit towards a specific major or college.
